Quinta da Plansel winery

On the afternoon of the 8th of September, you are invited to part-take in a delightful social program. One of the programs includes a coach trip to the Quinta da Plansel winery 30 Km west of Evora in  Montemor-o-Novo. After a welcoming cocktail, you will be served a beautiful three course set lunch, accompanied by a selection of excellent wines, including wine tasting from the Quinta da Plansel wine cellar, and a guided visit to the winery. The land on which this winery is located was originally bought in 1975 by Jorge Böhm, a young German full of energy and passion for wine. In 1997 Jorge´s daughter Dorina Lindemann-Böhm, founded the current Quinta da Plansel winery which been an important producer of Alentejo wines ever since.  The name Plansel comes from plantas seleccionadas, i.e. selected plants, and refers to the best autochthonous vine material which was selected by Jorge Böhm. This family run winery has carried out extensive scientific work to improve the quality of indigenous alentejo wines.

The other includes a walking guided tour to visit the most exciting historic sites in the city of Évora. Full details on the walking guided tour will be given during the conference.

Participants need to register and pay for the excursion on the conference site, there will be a limited number of places, and thus places will be allotted on a first come first served basis.
